This website (www.thailatinamerica.net) is the prime outlet of the Royal Thai Embassy to promote the diplomatic, economic, and cultural relations between Thailand and Mexico, as well as to raise the awareness of Thailand as a destination of excellence for investment, trade and tourism.

The embassy places the highest priority in strengthening and promoting people-to-people contact as the basis for strong relations. The embassy has therefore undertaken many projects ranging from academic exchange and interaction with Mexican students to the promotion of Thai culinary arts and Muay Thai, both constantly of growing popularity and interest among our Mexican friends.

Furthermore, trade and investment promotion is also a priority for the Royal Thai Embassy in Mexico City. Trade between Thailand and Mexico has enjoyed steady growth over the years, reaching USD 2.3 billion in 2012, and is still expected to continue growing. We will continue in the pursuit of opportunities to expand trade and investment, especially in the areas where we see great potential, such as the automotive and electronics industry.

Tremendous opportunities lie ahead for Thailand and Mexico, as well as between ASEAN and Latin America. We are the two fastest growing regions in the world and we will be the engine of global growth in the coming years.
